MS Society NI - Ben Nevis Weekend 11 - 13 June 2010

The
perfect team building weekend! Have fun, engage in teamwork and raise
valuable funds for MS Society NI!
Challenge yourself and complete our Ben Nevis challenge. When the weather
is good the views from the top of 'Heaven Mountain' of the Western Isles
of Scotland are truly spectacular. Over the weekend the emphasis will be
very much about fun. Our group will walk the popular Tourist path up and
down the mountain and we expect the walk to take up to 8 hours (5 hours up
and 3 hours down). As the maximum gradient is just 1:5 any reasonably fit
and active person should have no problem making it to the summit and down
again - after the obligatory glass of champagne of course.
£35 deposit and minimum donation of £395 required.
Call us now on Tel: 028 9080 2802 for a Ben Nevis information pack and
sponsor forms - places on this event are limited so please book early.

Give your comments, ideas on Possible Muscular Dystrophy walk
John Gibson and
his brother are trying to put together a event for charity, they
have a nephew who has a child's form of Muscular Dystrophy and they
wish to raise some money for the charity which helps him and his
family.
Last year his brother undertook a walk around a great deal of N.
Ireland ( 350 miles in 17 days in May), raising a very reasonable
sum for a good cause.
The thought was that on the Holiday weekend in May 2010, Whit
bank holiday, Sat. and Sun. doing approx 13/14m per day.1st
day starting at a car park just outside Antrim and going towards
Randlestown and Toome then west to the western shore of the lough
then south until either 13 or 14 miles has been completed, and on
the second day starting at the same car park but this time going
south passed Aldergrove airport and beyond until 13 or 14 miles has
been done.
The main route will be following the National Cycle Network around
the lough as much as possible, there will be some small bits which
will not follow the NCN.
John would be grateful for views on getting this event going, would
clubs be interested in joining for this worthy cause or if you know
of any other rambling/walking clubs that may want to go for a stroll
around what is as everyone knows a lovely part of N.I.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, any help, encouragement advise
and or support will be received gratefully and with thanks.
