PERSONAL GEAR &
EQUIPMENT
- A compass and suitable map of the area (and knowledge of their

- All members should have proper walking boots to protect
ankles, a complete waterproof outfit, personal first aid kit, emergency bivi
bag, spare clothing, ruck-sack and liner, food (including emergency rations),
drinks (hot and cold|), whistle and torch. For your own comfort do not
wear denims, once wet they take a long time to dry and wind blowing on the wet
material makes legs extremely cold.
GROUP RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Take care when proceeding
downhill as accidents on descent are more likely, especially towards the end
of a walk .
-
Do NOT jump from walls or fences and take care not to damage
same.
-
Members should always carry adequate equipment in their ruck-sacks
on all walks - even on shorter walks and in good weather. Conditions in
mountains and hills can change suddenly.
-
Members should accept the Leader(s) decision.
