Mid-Ulster Walking Club

                             


Mid-Ulster Walking Club is affiliated to Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs 

  • Sunday Walks are held every three weeks throughout the year.
  • Mid-Ulster Walking Club and Cookstown Council together organise a series of Sperrintrek walks during the year.
  • We have a long walking weekend in spring (early May). Previous sorties have been to Scotland, Wales, The Lake District, Co. Kerry and the Isle of Arran. 
  • In autumn (October) ,we have another walking weekend. In the past we have been to Achill, Westport, Donegal ,Wicklow and Galloway.
  • Shorter mid-week (Thursday) walks are held every two weeks.
  • Occasional trips abroad are organised from within the Club
  • We organise our own training sessions.

Alongside R.C.D.G.C., through Murlough Nature Reserve, follow path alongside the Estuary into Dundrum. Visit De Courcy's Castle with panoramic views and finish along former Railway track.

QUO ”   have an attractive, easily navigated website from which mapping software and a basic map can be downloaded free. In particular they market Irish maps which many other companies do not.

all of the UK and 50K Irish maps at reasonable prices compared to other similar products.
Suitable software and downloadable maps
are scarce and hard to find at the right price.
